Not great to lay directly on. Great for propping up and leaning against due to it being on the harder more abrasive side. Great for the price though.

This massage pillow works great for neck, back, legs, or wherever you need it. I woke up this morning with bad cramps in both feet and was able to work them out with this massage pillow. So glad that I bought this!

I am so disappointed that this stopped working. Little over a month and it stopped working. After I had just recommended it to someone. Now I have to spend more money. For someone who depends on massages for well being this is so sad. Save your money!!
