Convenient but can’t use in store
Most convenient option if you have someone that lives far away from you, you can instantly send them a gift card through text or email. However, it’s important to know that the gift card can only be used online or through pick up because you can’t use it in the store. Finally, my favorite feature is that you can resend it if the person “loses it.”

Stack those credit card points by buying gift cards on amazon
Chase freedom credit card has rotational bonuses. One of those bonuses is often 5x points on amazon. The chase amazon card also offers 5x points on purchases through amazon.Why get a normal 1x or 2x bonus (or whatever your card bonus may be) purchasing directly from lowes when instead you can just buy a gift card and get 5xOrdered this and it came in a matter of minutes. Worked perfect with no issues.Pro tip: you can get a gift card for whatever value you want so that you don’t have extra left over. Mine was some crazy number like $107.32

BUYERS BEWARE – NOT SECURE
Bought a $500 gift card. Went to use it and the balance was $0.Called Amazon support and they said it was loaded upon purchase so they can do nothing, try Lowes.Called Lowes support and they said a 3rd party handles gift cards so they can do nothing.Called the 3rd Party support and they confirmed someone else did indeed use the gift card pretty much immediately after it was loaded (in another state), but they don’t offer support directly to customers so there is nothing they can do.Called back Lowes support, explained this, and they said there is nothing they can do over the phone, try your local Lowes store.The list goes on.And I am leaving out the hours of AI voice support shenanigans to try to talk to an actual person each time.To those wondering, I checked my email where the card was sent and my Amazon account, neither have any unusual logins and nobody else has access to my devices, so it was not on my end.TLDR: Gift Card transfer is not a secure process, others have access to it somehow (they probably only steal a few to not raise suspicion – I’ve seen a few other similar reviews) and it is absolutely impossible to find any resolution.
